Dear Sheep of Christ -

On Sunday, I shared with you some concerns about conventionalism, the Church, and the Christian life that have been weighing on my heart since Lent. I also challenged you to consider the deep need for Jesus alone for the sake of our faith and life.
During the forum, one member asked what I envision for the next year, to which I responded, "living faith" which will not continue to allow society to govern and demand the way we Christians live our lives. That for the sake of our witness, we will stand up and adjust our priorities and get them in line with our values.

The good news is this: We don't have to impress the Shepherd. He already knows we are silly and senseless. But the Best Shepherd has called us into his flock to lead us into the future with great promises to sustain us and great hope to encourage us in our walk with Him.  I am looking forward to all the ways and places where the Lord is leading. Let us keep our eyes on his staff.
Blessings on your week -
