Dear Friends in Christ-

On Sunday in the Drama of Acts, we watched as the first Churchwide Gathering was assembled in Jerusalem. The question before them was whether or not Jesus' death and resurrection was enough for salvation or if some other rules needed to be added for Christians.
As Lutherans we fundamentally affirm the decision made at that first Jerusalem Council: "We believe that we are all saved the same way: By the undeserved grace of our Lord Jesus!" (Acts 15:11Salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. At the same time, our witness to that faith has ethical and moral implications. Faith leads us to trust in Christ alone, so that our witness will reflect Christ's care for others. Is there anything that the Spirit might be calling you to give up so that others will know Jesus through you? What practices might you adopt to show the importance of this gift of faith in your life?

Live into Grace this week! Reflect the Son!
