Dear Friends in Christ -

I was thumbing through my Facebook feed this morning when I stumbled upon a note that sarcastically read: "They give us an extra day every four years...and it's a Monday." There are also lots of exciting things happening today: Apparently Caribou Coffee is giving away Buy One, Get One for $0.29; lots of places are doing special donor events and other cool events are happening to celebrate.
Indeed, we do have an extra day. And what are you going to do with it? Regardless of what you will be doing with this extra day, God will be with us. Thankfully his faithfulness is not allotted a year at a time. We won't have to be less faithful tomorrow, because we used some today. No! "God's faithfulness is new every morning" writes the author of Lamentations. And so, whatever you do today, remember that you are held in the palm of God's hand and he is caring and keeping for you and yours all day today; just as he did yesterday and just as he will do tomorrow
