Dear Friends in Christ -

Happy New Year! The season of Advent has begun and ushers in this exciting and anticipatory season of hope. I hope that you all have received the Advent Devotional that the Quilters, along with Meg and I, have gifted to each household. We hope that these will be meaningful for you all as we journey to Bethlehem this month. The readings begin today, so we don't want you to miss out.  We do have extras here at church - stop in and pick one up.
Also, for Worship On Wednesdays (WOW) at 6p, we will be marking the season by participating in Advent Vespers. Vespers is a prayer service that the church has used throughout the centuries. These services will include readings of Holy Scripture, shorter meditations, and time for intentional prayer; Holy Communion will also be served each week as we prepare for the birth of Jesus.  It is my hope that many of you will come and participate in these services.

Advent Blessings to You -
