Dear Friends in Christ -

Yesterday we had the privilege to witness multiple miracles:
1) A young man was in the right place at the right time and God was glorified. 2) On the brink of absolute destruction, God provided salvation in the most beautiful way! If you think I'm talking about the Vikings game, you're crazy!
Yesterday, first, Austin Willey led our worship services and preached for us as he is completing some coursework. I heard he did a fine job and am thankful for his willingness to fill in. Second, our nephew, Matthew James, was headed for a life of sin and death, but God called him from the devil's dominion and brought him safely through the waters of Holy Baptism. Meg and I were grateful to be called as baptismal sponsors and it was a lovely day to celebrate all that God has done! What a tremendous God we have!

P.S. Not that I care a whole lot, but even some Packer fans were amazed by that Vikings finish last night. Make sure to be in church this weekend to say a few more prayers...whatever it takes!

To prepare for worship on Sunday
(January 21), you are invited to read:
John 1:19-34
