Dear Friends in Christ -

Advent is a season of preparation. We tell the story of Christ's first coming, so that we can be ready for his second. As we look to Bethlehem, we seek to give God the glory, even as we receive the peace he sent in his Son. We remember that the child born in the manger is the Savior, and we give thanks that the Christ Event has made us worthy to obtain eternal life with him forever.

With our homes decked out with holiday cheer and our hearts prepared to greet the Christ child, I pray that the peace, love, and joy of Christmas sneaks in a few days early. May the final days of Advent, with their long dark nights and their to-do lists, point you to the Prince of Peace. With four candles trimmed and burning, we look ahead to the celebration of Christmas.

Advent Blessings & Merry Christmas!
