Dear Friends in Christ -

posted Nov 27, 2017, 2:01 PM by Shannon Vietmeier
On Sunday, we began our observance of the season of Advent. This season is an intentional time of preparation and expectation. While we look forward to the birth of Christ, we also prepare for his birth in our hearts and lives.

Advent reminds us that God is faithful to keep his promises, even in the waiting. We remember that it is God's timing, not our own. It is God's work to create and sustain faith, and we sit under his Word to do the work of transforming heart and live. As the Advent hymn sings, "Let every heart prepare him room."

And so we wait...and prepare!
