Dear Friends in Christ -

posted Jun 12, 2017, 6:40 PM by Shannon Vietmeier
While I was driving into church yesterday, you were on my mind and in my prayers. I could see the storms coming in on the horizon, and while church was not full, I was glad that many of you stayed put and that God kept you safe in the midst of the storm. (This might be a good time to turn to Psalm 29.)
It was interesting to sing "Holy, Holy, Holy" while the thunder billowed in the background and the music offering reminded us of God's power when we "hear the mighty thunder/thy power throughout the universe displayed." While damage and loss of trees is difficult to stomach, we give thanks that human life was preserved by God's almighty hand, and that he even provides for us...that we have things that could be damaged or ruined by a storm. Prayers for strength and encouragement as you work to recover. Blessings on your week.

Peace to you, I pray!
