Dear Friends in Christ -

We are in the heart of our series on The God-Fashioned Life. On Rally Day, we heard that all of our commitments grow out of the first commitment: We are people of the Word of God. The Holy Scriptures become the source for our faith and the norm of our life. Yesterday, while we worshipped, someone interrupted our service to remind us of why we do what we do when we gather for corporate worship.
This week we focus on the gift of community. Christian community is a valuable gift of the Church. Thankfully, we "don't have to go it alone" on this journey of life. We share with one another the joys and burdens of this life and appreciate the companionship we offer to one another. Two notes about this very thing: 1. Meg and I want to thank you for your cards, prayers, and support as we said "so long for now" to her grandfather. We cannot imagine having to experience death and grief without the support of this community. 2. Please be in prayer for our ninth grade students who will be confirmed on Sunday. They have been a joy to get to know and learn from, and now we welcome them into full membership in the body of Christ. Thanks be to God!
Grateful for all of you-
Pastor Culynn & Meg
