Dear Friends in Christ -

Over the course of the last weeks, Meg and I have been with her family keeping vigil at her grandma's bedside. Emma was a woman of deep faith and constant prayer. She was a wonderful saint of the church and a strong foundation for her family. We are thankful to have known her and to have shared our life with her, and we commend her into the care and keeping of Almighty God.

As I reflect on these past days and also the ministry of our congregation, I cannot help but notice the interplay of family-church connections. We need the constant guidance of faithful parents, children, and Christian friends to continue to encourage and challenge us in the journey of faith, so that faith is not just a Sunday morning commitment but a way of life lived and supported by important and meaningful relationships.

Blessings as we live our faith together -
