Dear Friends in Christ -

The ministry we do together is grounded on the Word of God revealed in Holy Scripture. All that we believe and everything that we do is centered on the commitments God has revealed to us in the Bible. In fact, Lutherans have always believed "The Word of God is the source and norm of our faith and life."

However, I fear that Christians have neglected an honest relationship with God's Word that our theology has shifted to reflect the culture more than the Scripture.
The preaching and teaching of God's Word is central to our ministry, but it is my prayer that the Spirit will create a longing for the Word of God to be central in each of our lives.

There are so many resources available: Daily readings are available in the newsletter. We have two pastor-led Bible studies (Mondays at 7:00pm & Sundays at 9:15am). If you have not logged into Right Now Media, that is an incredible resource to help all of us grow in our faith through the Word. But even simply reading through one of the Gospels, one of Paul's letters, or the Psalms is a wonderful place to start. "If we make the Word of God the most important thing in life, taking a sabbatical to focus on God's Word, we can only discover a mason jar's worth in an ocean's worth of material.
