Dear Friend's in Christ -

Here's my confession: Sometimes I don't say the Apostles Creed. Instead I quietly listen as all of you say it. I look around and try to let the fact sink in that I am surrounded by a room full of believers. It's a powerful feeling. As Hebrews 12:1 says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith..."

That feeling is highlighted again whenever we worship together in Pastor Culynn's absence. I love to see us all working together. It reminds me that it isn't a particular pastor that we look to or follow, but Jesus, who delivers and perfects our faith.

"The church, it is the people
living out their lives,
Called, enlightened, sanctified,
For the work of Jesus Christ."
