Dear Friends in Christ -

On Friday some of us gathered for an Epiphany Party. The Festival of Epiphany marks the arrival of the wise men from the East to see the child, "born King of the Jews" (Matthew 2:1-12). On Sunday, we celebrated Baptismal Birthdays for those who were baptized in the last year in conjunction with the festival of Baptism of Our LordSunday (Matthew 3:13-16). Epiphany confirms that Jesus is the Savior of the whole world. His Baptism confirms that he is the Son of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the kingdom and save us.

To experience an epiphany is to have our eyes opened; to receive a revelation about something or someone. During this season, we continue to unpack the stories of Scripture to reveal something new about Jesus or to see Him a different way. As we enter this New Year, I pray that each one of us will be deliberate in seeking his forgiveness as our Savior. But also, I pray that you will seek ways to be intentional to grow in your relationship with him and experience an epiphany of Christ for you.

His Kingdom come -
