Dear Friends in Christ -

On Sunday, we celebrated the Festival of All Saints; a day to give thanks to God for his faithfulness to all those who find themselves in the fellowship of the church. We give thanks for the gift of baptism and those who have received God's promises as they are sustained through their life of faith. We also remember those who have died in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
We spent time thinking about those who shared the Word of Christ with us and those to whom we must speak that same life-giving Word. I hope and pray that Holy Cross continues to be a place where all are fed by the Gospel and empowered to speak and share (with boldness) the good news of Jesus.

P.S. It is not lost on me that tomorrow is a big day in our country, which will inevitably shape the future of this country. Even if your ballot is cast, please continue to be faithful in prayer. Christ is seated on the throne and intercedes for us as the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Thanks be to God!
