Christmas Program and Soup & Bread Supper

As many of you know, Meg and I hosted Cottage Conversations in the homes of members of our congregation.  You fixed the meal, welcomed us into your homes, and we enjoyed fellowship together.  One of the things that we heard over and over again was how much people appreciated the chance to enjoy fellowship with fellow members and friends of Holy Cross.  People had a longing for more opportunities to simply "be together."  On Sunday, we have one of those opportunities.

Our children play a vital role in our ministry here.  So often, we think of children's ministry we do or "put on" for them.  But on Sunday, December 15 at 3:30pm, our children will provide an important ministry to us.  Over the course of the last couple weeks, I have been working with our children to prepare a memorable Christmas program for you all.  LIVE FROM THE FIRST CENTURY is a newscast about the birth of Jesus.  It includes some funny jokes, great songs of the season, and of course the smiling faces of our kids.

I hope that you will make every effort to attend this wonderful program.  Following the children's performance, The Quilters, the Church Council, Meg and I will host a soup and bread supper for everyone to enjoy.
This is a busy time of year, and so often we scatter to the four winds to celebrate with our own families.  I hope that Sunday afternoon/evening will be a chance to share each others' company once again.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday at 3:30pm.
Pastor Culynn
